Young Professionals Board Members:
Tom Rosenberg
Tom is better known among the group as "the Godfather" of the YPG. One of the originators of this clan of happy young tree huggers, he currently acts an advisor to and supporter of the YPG through the YP Challenge Grant.
He has previously served on the Boards of the Eastern New York Chapter and the New York State Board of The Nature Conservancy.
When not flyfishing, reviewing strategies with the YP Board and Committees, or hosting parties for the YPG, Tom spends his free time as a senior vice president at Merrill Lynch.

Naomi Arbit
Naomi Arbit is currently pursuing her M.A. in Medical and Environmental Ethics at NYU and helps out in The Nature Conservancy’s New York office when she is not studying. Prior to her graduate studies, Naomi worked at Bear Stearns as a Mortgage-backed securities analyst.
Naomi was born in Canada and, although raised in the New York area, returned to Canada to attend McGill University, from which she graduated in 2006. At McGill, Naomi studied Environment and Economics and became a believer in market-based solutions to conservation. Combining these beliefs with her passion for outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hiking and mountaineering, the mission of The Nature Conservancy was a perfect fit.

Eugenia Choi
Eugenia Choi is an internationally renowned concert violinist whose global travels from performing on the world's concert stages have exposed her to biodiversity on five continents and influenced her concern for environmental conservation. She is particularly active in pernambuco reforestation in Brazil's Mata Atlântica as well as local conservation work in New York State.
Born in Canada, Eugenia earned her Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees from the Juilliard School in New York. She is also an alumna of Dartmouth College and is an assistant professor of music at the University of British Columbia.
Eugenia is currently co-chair of the Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Board.

Mark Crofton
Mark Crofton works in a business development role at SAP AG in their Manhattan office. Previously, he was a consultant with McKinsey & Company advising clients on technology strategy.
Other prior experience includes working at early-stage venture capital firms focusing on sourcing investments in high tech firms. Mark was also in the investment software division of Thomson Financial where he was most recently the account executive for Latin America based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Mark has a BA in International Relations and German from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. A native of Central Florida, Mark speaks fluent German and Spanish, travels more frequently than not, and enjoys setting things on fire (as part of the Conservancy’s prescribed burns, of course).

Jenn Diedzic
Jenn has been a member of the Young Professionals Board since 2005. Her interest in conservation began with a trip many years ago to Wyoming, where she was inspired by the wildlife and untouched terrain of the state and the grandeur of Yellowstone National Park.
Professionally, Jenn has spent six years covering the Utilities and Energy space, and is currently at HSBC, where she is a relationship manager covering investor owned electric utilities and renewable energy companies. Jenn graduated from the College of William and Mary in 2001 with a BBA in finance and a Minor in International Relations. She is also a CFA charterholder.
Jenn is particularly passionate about the issue of climate change, and seeks to help inform other YPs of the Conservancy’s work in her current role as chair of the YP Conservation Committee.

Jin Jin Huang
Jin Jin’s appreciation for nature stemmed from a very early age. Born in a beautiful village tucked away in the mountain valleys of southern China, she still remembers running around barefoot and climbing trees. Her awareness for environmental concerns developed during her involvement with the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia through their science programs, as well as volunteering throughout high school. She finds The Nature Conservancy’s YPG a great place for people of all professions to combine their appreciation for nature and passion for environmental conservation.
Jin Jin graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Engineering Leadership Development from Penn State University. Since graduation she has been working as a consulting engineer in New York City in the heating ventilation and air conditioning industry, designing heating and cooling systems of commercial buildings, galleries, hospitals, etc. The efficiencies of the mechanical heating and cooling systems of commercial buildings in a densely populated city like New York can have tremendous impact on energy conservation.
Aside from work and her involvement with the Nature Conservancy, Jin Jin enjoys golf, surfing (and other water sports), hiking, theatre, classical music, traveling and martial arts.

Holly Magliano
Holly has been a member of the Young Professionals Board since 2005. Holly is chair of the YP Events Committee and is also the YP representative to the Conservancy’s International Council.
She has worked for McKinsey & Company, Inc. as an executive assistant to the CFO since 2002. Prior to McKinsey, Holly worked in Washington, DC at a boutique consulting firm, CLS & Associates. Holly graduated from Roanoke College in Salem, VA in 1999.
Holly spends most of her free time outdoors. She is an avid golfer, occasional flyfisher, and wannabe farmer. Although she lives in the city, Holly is a member and volunteer of a CSA (community supported agriculture) in Connecticut and enjoys cooking local and organic meals as much as possible.

Radhika Mehta
Radhika has been a member of The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Council since 2005. Her passion for natural spaces and conservation comes from her upbringing in India. As a child she had the opportunity to travel to and live in various natural areas with her father who served in the Indian Military.
She completed her B.A. in English Literature with honors at Delhi University and her M.B.A in Finance magna cum laude at NYIT in New York.
Radhika currently works at Merrill Lynch as a Wealth Advisor and is a solution proponent for her clients seeking counsel on philanthropy and estate planning. She is also extensively involved with the NYIT Alumni Federation and The Women's Exchange at Merrill Lynch.
Radhika currently resides in New York City with her husband Alok. They are both avid travelers and enjoy exploring new cultures and countries, and look forward to sharing it all with their new daughter.

David Nicola
David is a long-time member of The Nature Conservancy and was co-chair of The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Board prior to moving to London, UK in the beginning of 2007. David is currently chair of the YP Development Committee.
David graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Natural Resources, and is currently working as a portfolio manager at BlueMountain Capital Management. His passion for conservation stems from life-long interests in fly-fishing, bird-watching, photography and other outdoor activities, as well as a deep appreciation for the African continent.
David’s desire to influence the preservation of the natural world developed at Cornell, which emphasized a strong science-based framework for environmental conservation, a philosophy similar to that of The Nature Conservancy. This focus has been reinforced by studying wildlife management in East Africa, traveling through Southern Africa and the Western United States, and witnessing the success of TNC initiatives around the world.
As Henry David Thoreau once stated: “In wildness is the preservation of the world”…this ultimate mission will require input from all countries, all walks of life and all types of industry. The Young Professionals Group is currently working towards that goal in NYC.

Joel Papo
A longtime member of The Nature Conservancy, Joel doesn't like bird watching, and isn't nearly the environmentalist his younger sister is.
Joel lives in Brooklyn and is a senior sssociate at K. Backus & Associates, a real estate development consulting firm. He is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College (1997) and Columbia Business School (2003).
Joel is currently co-chair of The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Board.

James Riviezzo
James has been involved with the Nature Conservancy's Young Professional Group since 2007 and currently chairs the Membership and Media Committee. James's other non-profit experience has ranged from serving on the board of directors of his local Red Cross chapter to teaching financial literacy as a volunteer for Operation Hope. Additionally, James has been involved with several of his alma mater organizations, primarily assisting with fundraising and capital campaign efforts.
Most of James’s professional career has been focused in financial services. He has been affiliated with firms such as Merrill Lynch, UBS Financial Services and E*TRADE Financial. In his current role, James is tasked with national business development for Genworth Financial Wealth Management - which provides private portfolio solutions for over $20 billion in client assets.
Raised in New Hampshire, James has an appreciation for all things relative to nature. By becoming involved with The Nature Conservancy and its Young Professionals Group, he hopes to help preserve great outdoor places just like the ones he was fortunate enough to grow up around.
When not working, James enjoys about 9 holes of golf, reading in preparation for the day that "Jeopardy!" becomes an Olympic sport, surf casting for striped bass off Cape Ann and cooking the results of his catch for friends. As if these activities were not treacherous enough, James also spends his summers (and lately Octobers…) publicly rooting in Manhattan for the Boston Red Sox.

Katherine Tweed
Katherine is currently pursuing her M.A. in science, environmental and health reporting at New York University. After years of working in cable and Internet news, she is refocusing on her desire to bring a variety of important scientific and environmental issues to the forefront of the public mind.
Katherine grew up in New England, wandering the local woods in Massachusetts and wondering how the constellation Cassiopeia actually looks like a queen. But it was a starry night on the unspoiled coast of Oregon during high school that opened her eyes to the importance of conservation for the future generations.
Katherine knows there is not just one storyline to saving wild places. She joined the Young Professional’s Group in 2007 to support the breadth of The Nature Conservancy’s work and to encourage others in New York to engage in conservation issues in our backyard and across the globe.

Craig Weiss
Craig was introduced to The Nature Conservancy's Young Professionals Group through his involvement with the Conservancy’s Long Island chapter staff.
Growing up in Lloyd Harbor, NY, his neighborhood bordered The Nature Conservancy's preserves where he could bird watch, run, and explore. The Nature Conservancy's efforts will protect such valuable land, hopefully for his children to explore one day.
He began his career in Morgan Stanley's Equity Client Service group and moved on as a trader at Scout Capital Management, an equity long/short hedge fund. Currently, he is the director of leasing and acquisitions at T. Weiss Realty Corp., a commercial real estate firm. Craig graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond with a B.S. in Business Administration.
Whether playing soccer, competing in triathlons, or boating on Long Island, his spare time is readily spent outdoors.
