Date/Time:
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008
10:00am - 11:30am

Overview:
Household waste increases more than 25% during the winter holiday season, with seasonal cards producing enough waste to fill a football field ten stories high. There are plenty of ways that we can reduce our holiday waste, so let’s start together!

Participants will create home-made recycled seed cards that can be planted instead of thrown away. Give your family and friends a gift that will bloom through the season! Bring scrap paper and junk mail (especially non-glossy colored paper) that we will recycle into new cards.

Registration/Fee:
The event is free and open to the public. Program limited to 15 people; pre-register by calling  (518) 450-0321  x2.

Location:
Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park
80 Scout Road
Gansevoort, NY 12831
