New Hampshire Trustees Launch International CommitteeProtecting our natural resources for people and nature is not a necessity exclusive to New Hampshire, but throughout this small, fragile planet.
"I see our committee's purpose as to build within the New Hampshire chapter more awareness of, and support for, The Nature Conservancy’s international habitat protection programs,” said trustee Arthur Mudge of Hanover. “I see an initial focus on tangible connection, through field trips and live presentations, with TNC programs in Latin America. That's where most of New Hampshire's migratory birds spend most of their year and where some world-class ornithologists from New Hampshire are doing very interesting and important work.” The committee will look into holding events and forums featuring scientists and guest speakers from other Conservancy programs, as well as field trips to local conservation priority sites. It may also coordinate international trips to global priority project sites to engage members and non-members in on-the-ground conservation work. Stay tuned for more information from the chapter's international committee.
