A Recipe for Restoration

Overview:
Join TNC's Restoration Ecologist, Nur Ritter, and Mount Washington Valley Program Manager, Jeff Lougee, for a morning of blueberry picking in the Ossipee Pine Barrens.  It's all-you-can-eat while learning about this unique ecosystem!

How to Prepare for the Hike:
Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for light hiking (the scrub oak can be prickly) and bring containers in which to collect your blueberries!

Registration/Fee:
This hike is free for Nature Conservancy members as well as for non-members. Reservations are requested. To RSVP, please contact Megan Lepage at mlepage@tnc.org or 603.224.5853, x23.

Meeting Location:
Ossipee Pine Barrens Preserve - West Branch
Route 41 in Madison, NH

Directions:

  • From the junction of Route 16 and Route 41 in Ossipee, follow route 41 North for approximately 2 miles.
  • The entrance to the preserve will be on the Right side of the road.
