Overview:
Join TNC's Gail Coffey and Russ Cohen of the Massachusetts Riverways Program at our Lubberland Creek Preserve in Newmarket as they learn to identify edible plants and mushrooms, followed by an edible plants cooking demo and tasting session.

How to Prepare for the Hike:
Bring appropriate shoes for light hiking and, if you have one, a hand lens.

Registration/Fee:

Meeting Location:
TNC's Great Bay Office
112 Bay Road, Newmarket

Directions:

  • From Route 108 in Durham or Newmarket: turn onto the loop road known as Durham Point Road (from the north end in Durham) or Bay Road (from the south end in Newmarket).
  • The office is 6.5 miles from the north end of this road, or 1.2 miles from the south end.
  • Parking is along the shoulder of the road -- please take appropriate care in parking as the road is heavily traveled and twisty.
