Overview:
Join TNC along with Susie Spikol and Eric Aldrich of the Harris Center for Conservation Education at The Nature Conservancy's Sheldrick Forest Preserve in Wilton as we listen for our denizens of the forest... whoooo else?

How to Prepare for the Owl Prowl:
Bring warm clothes and proper shoes/boots for walking through the snowy forest at night, as well as a headlamp or flashlight.  Snowshoes are optional.

Registration/Fee:
This hike is free for Nature Conservancy and Harris Center members as well as non-members. Reservations are requested. To RSVP, please contact Megan Lepage at mlepage@tnc.org or 603.224.5853, x23.

Meeting Location:
Sheldrick Forest Preserve in Wilton, NH.

Directions:

  • From Milford, drive west on Route 101 past Wilton center.
  • Turn left onto Temple Road just beyond Gary's Harvest Restaurant (approximately 2.1 miles west of the junction with Route 31 South, or 1.1 miles east of the Temple town line).
  • Travel 0.3 mile on Temple Road, bear left to cross a bridge, and the turn left onto Town Farm Road.
  • Travel 0.7 mile to the preserve entrance.
  • Parking is in a field to the left of the road.
